Friendly lodging for beer loving couples.

The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs West Virginia
Historic opulence in the West Virginia mountains.
Distance + Time: 300 miles, 4 hours
If you’ve ever seen a picture of The Greenbrier, you know the historic property delivers opulence on a grand scale. The vibe at Greenbrier is more formal (read the dress code before you pack), and the property is more remote than our other romantic getaways from Washington DC. But it’s a unique experience to stay in a National Historic Landmark with it’s own Cold War Bunker. The bunker, built to house Congress in the event of attack, is available for tours. Be sure to visit the indoor pool and wander the grounds. You’ll find romance and elegance throughout the property.
