Plan a Hyatt Tysons Corner staycation for weekend fun on The Plaza at Tysons Corner Center. You'll enjoy relaxed luxury lodging; easy access to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment; free parking; and a Metro stop just steps from your room.
The Hyatt Regency Tysons is perfect for a no-car trip to Washington DC or a Northern Virginia staycation. It's also a great base for anyone attending Cirque du Soleil Tysons shows and the seasonal DC Winter Lantern Festival. It's a short walk from the hotel to Lerner Town Square, the site for both shows.

Hyatt Tysons Corner Staycation Rooms and Amenities
The Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner vibe is luxurious but relaxed, so a weekend visit is appropriate for a romantic escape or a casual family getaway. The decor is sleek, with clever touches that reflect Tysons Corner Center's role as a fashion hub. For example, a chandelier at the entryway mimics the shape of a ladies hat and lobby art hints at fashionista style.
Spacious rooms and an indoor pool give families plenty to love during a Hyatt Tysons Corner staycation. With 374 square feet of space, standard rooms offer plenty of room for a family of four to stretch out. But if you splurge a little and book a deluxe suite, you'll enjoy a separate, spacious living room area with comfy couches and a table for four.

In addition to the pool, Hyatt Tysons Corner staycation guests have access to a 24-hour fitness center and the adjacent Barrell and Bushel restaurant. The amenities continue on The Plaza, a fun mixed-use space that connects the mall to the Tysons Silver Line metro stop.
The Plaza boasts outdoor games and a play area for little ones. Adults can kick back on couches, complete with fire pits, or relax with a drink at Barrel and Bushel or Earl's. Both restaurants/bars have a mix of indoor and outdoor seating on the plaza.
Dining in and Near the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner
Foodies can make dining and drink a central part of their Hyatt Tysons Corner staycation. Barrel and Bushel offers a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with a large selection of craft beer, wines, and cocktails.
Breakfast favorites include generous omelets and avocado toast. For dinner, we highly recommend the Maryland Blue Crab Roll (we ordered ours without the brioche), accompanied by a flight of beer or skillfully prepared cocktails.
The Tyson Corner mall has an extensive range of restaurants, from fast food standards in the food court to more upscale establishments. We love the healthy menu at Seasons 52, and they run tasty happy hour deals. Shake Shack is a family-friendly option on the plaza, right next to the playground, and they make a delicious burger.
Tysons Plaza Events and Fun
During the summer months, The Plaza hosts live outdoor concerts, weekend festivals, and other special events. It's also a short walk to Lerner Town Square, which hosts Cirque du Soleil shows every summer or fall.
In winter, shop for unique gifts at the annual holiday market and take a photo with the giant Christmas tree. In 2023, the Winter Lantern Festival was held next door in Lerner Square.
On weekdays, the hotel fills with businesspeople, so plan your Hyatt Tysons Corner staycation for a weekend when rates drop. The property is also a popular spot for weekend weddings, so be flexible with dates for the best rates.
